Shoutout to Jordan for being so kind, patient, and welcoming! I got all my plant questions answered and went home happy with my purchases! Will definitely be back as this is now my go-to nursery on Oahu!

Bought exactly nothing today however, my daughter is coming back once she gets her foundation started. The people here were so kind and knowledgeable! The honesty for sourcing materials for the project were refreshing and welcome. You have a lovely environment for growing plants and nourishing forever clients. Thank you for a great start to our day🤗

Update NOV 2023 : I still love this place. They had about four different varieties of banana plants to buy, including namwah / Thai, blue Java / ice cream, apple banana, williams banana… And delicious, fresh produce, and little herbs plants... OCT 2023 : Excellent garden and growing-plants-supply shop with organic-friendly soil treatments and pesticides / fungicides. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They also sell live plants and flowers and herbs and tools and such.

Koolau Farmers is a gardeners heaven, with everything that a green thumb needs - and wants - for their garden. All locations have limited parking and South Beretania is no different but it’s worth going early to take your time and wander inside and out of their nursery spaces. They have a wonderful collection of rare plants for sale, from variegated whale fin and monstera deliciosa to philodendron pink princess. Most of those are behind a roped-off area with a “kapu” sign to indicate it’s off limits to the public. If you want to see one up close before purchasing, you’ll need to request the assistance of one of the helpful staff. They also have one of the best seed collections on island, including a large display from Fukuda Seed Store, whose seeds are adapted to Hawaii’s climate. Such a hidden gem along this busy street, if you’re ever looking for a plant as a gift - for others or yourself haha - you should check out this local business!

Amazing spot in the city! I recommend going here for your plants/gardening needs versus anywhere else. Limited parking but it wasn’t as busy when I went. They had a variety of plants that would suit your needs and you definitely wouldn’t leave empty handed. All the plants were healthy, happy, and thriving! There were plants for landscaping, herbs for your kitchen, and decorative plants throughout the property. It’s also very calm and peaceful which is an awesome perk, am I right? I’d also like to point out that they had fertilizers, pots, and whatever you’d usually use in a garden and not just plants. There’s always someone in the front or in the back who would be more than happy to help you and give you prime advice! Super friendly faces. I found my new favorite spot. ☺️
